As we gear up for the holiday season, it’s essential to stay informed about the rules for dogs on Mossel Bay’s beaches, particularly for those in our community. While we love our furry companions, not all beaches are pet-friendly, and certain regulations are in place to ensure everyone’s safety.
Remember these key points:
- Dogs are not allowed on Blue Flag beaches (Santos, Hartenbos, Klein Brak River, Glentana) when the flag is hoisted.
- From December 1 to January 31, dogs can be walked in designated areas on certain beaches during limited hours: 5:00-8:00 and 18:00-20:00.
- Always keep dogs on a leash, under control, and ensure they don’t disturb wildlife or other beachgoers.
- Don’t forget to clean up after your pets!
